About the CCAC
Governance
The CCAC is comprised of member organizations drawn from the scientific and animal welfare communities, and federal granting agencies. The diverse composition of these organizations reflects a wide range of interests, concerns, and objectives regarding animal-based science in Canada.
Member organizations elect the directors of the CCAC Board of Directors which governs the CCAC and is responsible for steering its activities to fulfill its mandate.
In the pursuit of this objective, the board works in collaboration with five standing committees (Standards, Assessment and Certification, Public Affairs and Communications, Finance and Operations, and Governance and Nominations), and an Ottawa-based Secretariat.
