Cancellation of the CCAC National Workshop 2020
In light of the unprecedented global situation regarding COVID-19, the CCAC has made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming CCAC National Workshop 2020 in Toronto, ON, in consideration of the health and safety of all those involved.
This decision was not taken lightly. Our annual workshops provide members of our community with an opportunity to interact with peers and exchange information on challenges and best practices in the area of animal ethics and care, and are our main training event of the year. While disappointing, we are confident that this is the responsible choice to make for our community given the uncertainty surrounding this pandemic.
For those who planned to attend the CALAS Annual Symposium in conjunction with our national workshop, please note that this event is also cancelled.
Preparations for the CCAC National Workshop 2021 in Montréal, QC, are already underway. More than ever, we look forward to welcoming our community to this event. Until then, we thank you for your understanding, and for your continued efforts in improving animal ethics and care in Canadian science.
