The guiding principle of the CCAC is the fundamental ethical requirement to treat animals used for research, teaching, and testing with the highest standards of care. This document is, therefore, intended for all stakeholders involved in animal-based scientific activities in Canada, including research, testing, teaching, and training, production of biologics, and breeding.

Help advance high standards for the ethical care and use of animals in Canadian science by providing your insight and input on this principles document. We also encourage you to invite others to participate in this review, or to collaboratively review the document with your colleagues. Please note that the draft document you receive will likely undergo significant changes prior to final approval and publication.

Please provide your comments by September 9, 2022.
