Career Opportunity at the CCAC: Standards Development Director

The Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) is currently seeking a Standards Development Director> to fill a full-time, permanent position in Ottawa. The CCAC follows a hybrid work structure where employees work from the office 3 out of 10 days.

Reporting directly to the Director of Standards, the successful candidate will lead the development and support the implementation of national standards, including ethics principles, policies, and guidelines, as well as deliver research to support Three Rs initiatives. They will also lead projects for quality improvement and integrate program metrics and risk management principles to inform standards and the CCAC program.

As lead on several projects, they will also oversee the good functioning of subcommittees, ensure consistency in the process and wording, and provide occasional training sessions on CCAC standards.
