The CCAC Annual Report 2025-2026 Is Now Available
The Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) has released the CCAC Annual Report 2025-2026, "Reflecting on Ethical Animal Care", marking the culmination of a five-year strategic cycle defined by significant progress in a rapidly evolving scientific and policy landscape.
Over the course of the 2021-2026 strategic plan, the CCAC has continued to guide and support Canada’s oversight system of ethical animal care and use through sustained collaboration with its national network of institutions, experts, and stakeholders. As both the organization and its program participants have placed greater emphasis on fostering an animal-centred scientific environment, the CCAC has remained focused on upholding strong, consistent standards, fostering dialogue across the community, and reinforcing a trusted, transparent, national framework for oversight and accountability.
These accomplishments have been made possible through the collective efforts of the CCAC’s volunteers and program participants, whose contributions underpin the organization’s ability to maintain a robust, credible oversight system. Their commitment, alongside strong institutional collaboration, has enabled the CCAC to adapt, evolve, and deliver on its mandate over the past five years.
