The CCAC is Seeking Members for its New Translation Advisory Group
The Canadian Council on Animal Care (CCAC) is establishing a Translation Advisory Group for the review of French translations of its guidelines documents. This opportunity is open to individuals who are fluent in French, possess excellent French writing skills, and have in-depth knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the ethical care and use of animals in science.
The CCAC will call on members of the advisory group once a guidelines document is approved for publication and translation is underway. Members will be asked to indicate their availability, allowing the CCAC to set up a team of reviewers. The translated document will then be distributed amongst the available team members for review to ensure that it is in line with current French-Canadian style and terminology. Volunteers who review a document will receive the original version of the guidelines and its translation so that they may send their comments and suggestions on the French version to the CCAC before the indicated deadline.
Volunteer experts are an essential component to ensuring that documents published by the CCAC are of the highest possible calibre. Interested persons are invited to send their name, contact details, and statement of interest to by December 20, 2023.
